"...two women, the wife of Matsumura and the daughter of Hayakawa, who have joined the night attack of the 47 Ronin to avenge the death of Lord Asano of Ako. The inset above shows Oishi Kuranosuke, the leader of the 47 Ronin. The story earned great fame as the kabuki play "Kanadehon Chushingura."
